Cash Converters has opened two new luxury boutiques within weeks of each other, bringing its dedicated luxury retail format to Melbourne’s CBD and Perth's Hay Street Mall, as authenticated pre-loved designer goods continue to gain popularity with Australian consumers.
In the past financial year alone, in-store luxury sales across Cash Converters’ stores in Australia reached more than $4 million and watch sales added a further $8 million, reflecting strong demand from savvy shoppers for authenticated pre-loved and unique designer pieces at an affordable price point.
Cash Converters Luxe - Melbourne, in the CBD, opened its doors first, followed weeks later by Cash Converters Luxe – Perth City, at T1, 723-727 Hay Street Mall.
Together, the two new stores join the retailer's existing luxury boutiques in Bondi Junction (NSW) and Adelaide (SA), continuing Cash Converters' expansion of standalone luxury store formats across Australia.
The second-hand luxury boutiques stock authentic designer handbags and accessories, watches, and jewellery from labels including Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel, Prada, and Rolex.
Cash Converters' Luxe boutiques use Entrupy to assist with authentication of luxury brand items. The Entrupy system scans microscopic details of an item and compares them against a database of known real and fake pieces. More than 7,000 items have been authenticated through Entrupy in the past year alone, giving customers added confidence with every purchase.
