Terms and Conditions

For the purposes of these Terms:

"Cash Converters" means Cash Converters Pty Ltd ABN 75 009 288 804; and

"Competition" means the “Win $250 Cash” Competition;

"Competition Period" means the period from 9am AEST on 1 August 2024 until 5.30pm AEST on 31 August 2024.

“Eligible Staff Member’s Business Card” means a business card from a staff member of Cash Converters Toowoomba which contains the Entrant’s name and contact information, which will only be eligible where the Entrant has sold or loaned any item to the value of $20 or more during the Competition Period.

"Entrant" means a person who submits an Entry to the Competition in compliance with the Eligibility Rules;

"Entry" means presenting an Eligible Staff Member’s Business Card to enter into the draw for the Prize, subject to these Terms;

"Excluded Persons" means:

• any directors and employees of Cash Converters and any Cash Converters franchisees and any of their directors and employees;
• principals and staff of any agency (including but not limited to marketing and advertising agencies) currently engaged by Cash Converters;
• principals and staff of any current supplier appointed by Cash Converters including any Immediate families of such persons; or
• "Immediate family" includes partner/spouse, grandparents, parents, step-parents, siblings and step-siblings, children and step-children (whether natural or by adoption), uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, first cousins and grandchildren;

"Prizes" means $250 cash to be redeemed at Cash Converters Toowoomba, subject to any qualifications under these Terms;

"Prize Winner" means the two (2) Entrants selected by Cash Converters to redeem the Prize in this Competition;

"Prize Winning Entry" means an Entry selected by Cash Converters to win the Prize; and

"Terms" means the terms and conditions of the Competition set out herein, including these definitions and the information on how to enter and redeem the Prize.

Eligibility Rules

1. In order to be eligible to enter, the Entrant must:
   1. agree to the Terms;
   2. be a natural person aged 18 years or over;
   3. not be disqualified by virtue of Eligibility Rule 2;
   4. provide a correct name, valid home address, valid email address and day time
      contact phone number;
   5. have sold or loaned any item to the value of $20 or more at Cash Converters Toowoomba and present an Eligible Staff Member’s Business Card to a staff member at Cash Converters Toowoomba during the Competition Period;
   6. be an Australian resident; and
   7. opt-into Cash Converters marketing.
2. Excluded Persons are not eligible to enter.
3. If there is a dispute as to the identity or eligibility of an Entrant, Cash Converters reserves the right, in its absolute and unfettered discretion, to determine the eligibility of the Entrant.
4. The Competition will be open to Entrants for the duration of the Competition Period.
5. Only Entries received during the Competition Period will be acceptable for consideration as a Prize Winning Entry by Cash Converters.

Entry to the Competition

6. In order to enter the Competition and submit an Entry, the Entrant must sell or loan any item to the value of $20 or more at Cash Converters Toowoomba during the Competition Period and then present an Eligible Staff Member’s Business Card during the Competition Period. Upon presentation of an Eligible Staff Member’s Business Card, the staff member will enter the Entrant’s detail into the CCPOS system. The number of entries is not limited.

Determination of Winner

7. Cash Converters acting in its absolute and unfettered discretion, will choose the Prize Winners drawn on 1 September 2024 at 9am AEST at Cash Converters Toowoomba and who are the first two (2) customer details drawn at random from the accumulated Entries. The Prize Winners will be notified by phone call.

Prize Conditions

8. The Prize Winners will each receive the Prize. For the avoidance of doubt, an Entrant is only eligible to receive one (1) Prize.
9. The Prize must be collected by the Prize Winner from Cash Converters Toowoomba.
10. If the Prize is unclaimed or un-awarded after 3 attempted phone calls over 7 days, a new Prize Winner will be drawn on 8 September 2024. The new Prize Winner drawn will be contacted via phone call.

General Conditions

12. The Prize Winner will be notified via phone call.
13. The Prize Winner must be available to redeem their prize at Cash Converters Toowoomba.
14. The Entrant agrees that Cash Converters may use the Entry for marketing or promotional purposes for an unlimited time and without remuneration.
15. The Entrant acknowledges and agrees that the selection of their Entry as the Prize Winning Entry shall not represent or confer any endorsement or sponsorship of the Entrant by Cash Converters.
16. In its absolute and unfettered discretion, Cash Converters reserves their right at any time to:
    1. verify the validity of Entries and Entrants (including an Entrant's legal identity, age and place of residence);
    2. invalidate any Entry received from an Entrant who is subsequently determined to be ineligible or disqualified under these Terms; or
    3. disqualify an Entrant or modify, suspend or terminate the Competition or Prize, to the fullest extent permitted by law and may consider doing so in the event of either interference to the conduct of the Competition or change of circumstances that was not reasonably anticipated and is beyond the reasonable control of Cash Converters.
17. By participating in the Competition, the Entrant:
    1. consents to Cash Converters and its contractors or agents to collect, use and disclose personal information about the Entrant information in accordance with Cash Converters Privacy Policy (which can be found at: http://www.cashconverters.com.au/privacypolicy) to Cash Converters, its contractors and agents, for the purpose of conducting the Competition; and
    2. consents to Cash Converters and its contractors or agents sending promotional, marketing and publicity information about other products and services of Cash Converters to the Entrant electronically, by telephone or by other means, indefinitely until such time as the Entrant expressly withdraws this consent by notification to Cash Converters in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
    3. grants Cash Converters a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide revocable, non-transferable, perpetual licence to use, modify, delete from, add to, publicly display and reproduce their photo including without limitation, in any online media formats and through any social media channels, pages or accounts.
    4. The entrant is able to revoke this licence at any time by contacting Cash Converters directly through our relevant social media channels, accounts, or socialmedia.au@cashconverters.com and informing Cash Converters that they no longer want their photo used.
18. To the extent permitted by law, Cash Converters (including their respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (whether in contract or tort) for any personal injury; economic loss or damages (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way through the Competition out of the following:
    1. any technical difficulties, operational failures or equipment malfunction (whether or not under Cash Converters);
    2. any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference;
    3. any entry form that is late submitted, lost, altered, illegible, incomplete, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after its receipt by Cash Converters) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of Cash Converters.
    4. any variation in the Prize's particulars or value to that stated in these Terms; or
    5. any tax liability incurred by the Prize Winner or Entrant.
19. The decision of Cash Converters in relation to any aspect of the Competition will be final and binding.
20. Failure by Cash Converters to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
